PBB branch gives orphans Raya treat

SIBU: A total of 50 orphans, aged eight to 19, were feted to an Aidilfitri open house at Komplek Kebajikan Juma’ani Tuanku Hj Bujang (PERYATIM) here today.

PBB Bukit Assek Branch chief, Abg Muhammad Yasin Dato Seri Abang Zainuddin, said it was organised to celebrate the festive occasion together with the 30 boys and 20 girls.

“As we celebrate this special occasion, we should never forget to share this festive mood together with the orphans,” he said.

“So, it is something very unique to be able to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri together with these orphans.”

Yasin said apart from that, the festive event also aimed at strengthening the spirit of unity among the various races who attended it.

Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Dr Annuar Rapaee, Deputy Head of PBB Bukit Assek Branch Dato Mohd Yusnar Matalie, Bukit Assek Assemblyman Joseph Chieng, Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak Sayed Azmee Wan Junaidi, the Manager of PERYATIM Sibu Najilanisa Suhaili, Secretary of PBB Bukit Assek Branch Junaidi Mohd Mokhtar, members from PBB Bukit Assek Branch and members from SUPP Bukit Assek Branch were among those present.
