PBB branch keen to collaborate with Ragad Foundation

KUCHING: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Samariang division is eager to collaborate with Ragad Foundation for programmes benefiting the local community.

PBB Samariang division vice chief Abdul Baderi Sahmat said the division is actively conducting programmes with the local community.

He said such programmes are able to alleviate the burden of the needy in the local community as well as fostering closer ties.

“Our division is more than happy to collaborate with Ragad Foundation for programmes with the local community in the constituency,” he said.

He said this in his welcoming address during the ‘Program Jelajah Bubur Lambuk’ organised by Ragad Foundation at Dewan Kampung Lintang here yesterday.

The programme was officiated at by Ragad Foundation chairwoman Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib where 600 containers of bubur lambuk (savoury porridge) were distributed to the villagers.

On the programme, Abdul Baderi thanked Ragad Foundation for choosing Kampung Lintang and its villagers as recipients of the programme.

He expressed hope for more similar programmes by the foundation to be held in Kampung Lintang and other villages in the Samariang constituency.

“I believe this is Ragad’s first time visiting Kampung Lintang and the villagers are very excited to have her here.

“This programme has definitely brought some cheer to the villagers,” he added.

Also present were Ragad Foundation chief of Youth Nizar Mahmoud Madi and other dignitaries.
