KAPIT: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth deputy chief Miro Simuh described the three-day convoy here as an eye-opener for the participants.

The convoy from Sibu to Kapit began last Saturday (Aug 22) and ended on Monday (Aug 24).

The Serembu assemblyman said through the convoy, he and the other participants witnessed the efforts of the government that were reflected through the development projects around here.

“It’s good to get connected with the rural area. I admit the development is a bit behind but the progress is steady.

“The road system is in progress as well as the other necessity like electricity and water.

“For myself and the rest of us from Kuching, it’s an eye-opener to see our government working hard to bring development to our people,” he said on Monday.

He also mentioned that through the programme, Youth leaders had the opportunity to do their own engagement with PBB Youth members from the nearby constituencies.
