KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Demak Laut is ready to face the 12th state election which is expected to be held any time soon.

Demak Laut assemblyman Dr Hazland Abang Hipni said that although the election will be held in a new norm, the party branch was ready to make sure that the constituency will become a PBB and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) stronghold.

“I see that our branch is now ready for the election. We will campaign using the traditional media as well as social media,” he said when officiating at a Demak Laut election course held at PBB headquarters last Sunday (April 11).

Dr Hazland, who is also the PBB Demak Laut branch chairman, said the party has been active on the ground following the 11th state election and will continue to work hard not just because of the coming election, but more for the people.

“We will also continue to cooperate with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) at the village level to ensure that the people benefit from government initiatives,” he said.
