MIRI: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Northern Region will be holding a mini convention here on Sept 5.
Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, who is also PBB president, will declare it open.
The convention is chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, who is also PBB deputy president.
Some 960 delegates from 17 branches will be attending it. The PBB branches are in Murum, Jepak, Tanjong Batu, Kemena, Samalaju, Bekenu, Lambir, Piasau, Pujut, Senadin, Marudi, Telang Usan, Mulu, Bukit Kota, Batu Danau, Ba`kalalan and Bukit Sari.
PBB is holding zonal mini-conventions instead a centralised convention this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
After Miri, a similar mini convention is scheduled to be held in the central region (Sibu Zone).
