PBB Pantai Damai prepared for state polls

KUCHING: The Pantai Damai branch of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) is prepared to face the upcoming state election.

PBB vice-president Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi said preparations had been slightly disrupted previously due to the spread of Covid-19.

He said all preparations that were previously planned had to be cancelled to comply with standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the government.

“Entering the current phase of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) (for Sarawak) now, a lot of flexibility is given including to hold party-related programmes.

“We will return to boost party activities to ensure that our machinery at the branch and sub-branch level is always prepared,” the Pantai Damai assemblyman said.

He said this when addressing the GPS-PBB Pantai Damai branch special meeting on Friday night (Oct 15).

Dr Abdul Rahman said members of the branch’s election machinery must ensure that the excellent past record could be replicated in the upcoming state election.

“We set a target to continue the excellent results during the 12th state election (PRN12).

“To achieve excellent results, we need to work together at various levels,” he said.

He said, based on current developments, the PBB machinery in Pantai Damai was just waiting for the date of PRN12 to be announced.

“We are just waiting for the drums to be sounded because preparations are being done continuously,” he explained.

Also present were PBB Pantai Damai branch deputy chief Drahman Jaladin, vice chief Ramlie Apot, women chief Dayang Nora Awang Sabudin and youth chief Sebki Jen.
