PBB teams shine in Baleh Kapit Raft Safari 2017

KAPIT: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) teams won both men’s inter department and women’s open events in Baleh Kapit Raft Safari 2017 that ended on Sunday.

The other teams that also performed well in the raft safari  were RANDO Bahagian Kapit which won the paddle boat category, JKKK Rumah Pinin (free style category) and PRS Youth 64/61 (men’s bamboo open category).

PBB team won the men’s inter department bamboo raft competition with a time of 4 hours, 48 minutes and 28 seconds.

LANDAS team came in second in 5 hours, 12 minutes and 45 seconds, and  Dewan Suarah Kapit was third in 5 hours, 14 minutes and 17 seconds. JKKK Rh Pinin was first in the men’s free style category beating defending champion Bujang Banyau Pematak Kayau to second place.

The champion arrived at the finishing line in 3 hours, 52 minutes and 27 seconds and the runners-up in 3 hours, 53 minutes and 35 seconds.

PBB women’s team won the women’s open category for the second  year in a time of 5 hours, 16 minutes and 43 seconds.

Ferarri team from Nanga Banyau finished second in 5 hours,  42 minutes and 12 seconds and  Biro Wanita Rh Along was third in 6 hours,  20 minutes and 23 seconds.

A deputy chief minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. James Jemut Masing who is also  a minister of infrastructure development and transportation gave away the prizes.
