MUKAH: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Tellian Branch members and Kampung Petanak villagers worked together to repair the roof of a dilapidated house belonging to Risad John during the Community On The Go (COTG) PBB Tellian Women and Youth Wings programme today.
Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo and PBB Tellian secretary Jay Keram were also present at the programme organised by Tellian Service Centre.
According to Jay, the main objective of the programme was to implement community service activities at the village level such as repairing and upgrading important parts in the dilapidated houses of the less fortunate.
The programme was conducted in a gotong-royong (communal work) manner by involving the youth and women at the branch level.
“This was the third programme that has been implemented this month, with the first COTG programme held in Kampung Kuala Lama Mukah.
“We would like to thank Yussibnosh for coming down on the ground and injecting funds for the implementation of community programmes like this,” he added.
Also present during the programme were PBB Tellian Women chief Sharipah Mardiah and Youth secretary Terry Anthony.
