KUCHING: The Women Supreme Council of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) is gearing up for the second edition of the ‘Sarawak Kita Empun’ programme starting this month until the end of 2025, in preparation of the next state election.
The PBB Women chief Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said the programme will be held in all PBB branches throughout the state to ensure information related to the political landscape in Sarawak and the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030 reaches the grassroots level.
She said the first leg will kick off at the Demak Laut branch this Sunday (Feb 25), followed by Simunjan branch next Tuesday (Feb 27).
“Following the success of the previous edition, we will continue the efforts this year.
“The programme will present four main topics, namely Sarawak’s political landscape development, the Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, along with two additional optional subjects.
“Additionally, it will include other activities aimed at strengthening PBB’s connection with the people and enhancing the delivery of services to community members,” she told a press conference after chairing the PBB Women Supreme Council’s meeting at its headquarters here on today.
The first edition of the programme was launched by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) chairman and PBB president Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in 2020.
It serves as a platform for Sarawakians to gain insights into the state government’s agenda.
