KUCHING:  Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) will join forces with Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) in certain constituencies at the upcoming 15th general election (GE15).

PBK president Voon Lee Shan stated that the main purpose of working together is to avoid both parties putting candidates to fight each other that can cause spliting of votes.

Describing the need to work together as a demand from the voters, he said PBK needs PSB and vice versa in the GE15.

“This is to ensure both parties will have chances to win some seats in constituencies the parties are contesting.

“PSB president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh’s experience in politics would be useful in our quest to restore Negara Sarawak.

“Being no more in the government, he is not bound anymore to keep many things not to be disclosed for public consumption as the public has a right to know,” he said in a statement today.

Voon said both PSB and PBK are in agreement to see the rights of Sarawak not to be taken away or diminished by the federal or state governments.

“PBK’s concern besides loss of oil and gas, is also the fear that a day will come when the immigration laws are amended to allow people from outside of Sarawak to reside in the state and take business and employment opportunities of Sarawakians,” he added.
