People told to wait for flying doctor service

KUCHING: The Flying Doctor Service (FDS) will be in Sri Aman, Samarahan, Kapit, Miri and Bintulu from Jan 16 to 31, depending on weather conditions.

In a statement on Monday (Jan 17) the State Health Department advised people living in these areas to be at their respective homes or longhouses to await the service.

In Sri Aman, the FDS will be available on Jan 17 at Rumah Munggu Sawa in Pantu (in the morning) and Rumah Mamut, Langgir in Lingga (afternoon), Jan 18 at Rumah Rimong in Begantong (morning) and Rumah Lidom, Sungai Paya in Menjuau (afternoon), Jan 19 at Rumah Nyandang, Ulu Akup in Skrang (morning) and Rumah Bada, Nanga Talong in Ulu Engkari (afternoon) and Jan 20 at Nanga Bawie, Ulu Lemanak (morning).

The service will go to Samarahan and be available on Jan 21 at Plaie Atas (in the morning) and Pendawan (afternoon), Jan 22 at SRK Tuba Tengah (morning) as well as Jan 23 at Muding (morning) and Kampung Ijok (afternoon).

In Kapit, the FDS will be available on Jan 17 at Rumah Berangan (in the morning) and Rumah Sari (afternoon), Jan 18 at Long Singut (morning), Jan 19 at Rumah Achau (morning) and Rumah Layang (afternoon), Jan 20 at Rumah Ai Jalin, Sungai, Entawau, Bena in Balleh (morning) and Long Unai (afternoon), Jan 21 at Sang Anau (morning) and Batu Keling (afternoon), Jan 24 at Long Jawe (morning) and Long Kebuho (afternoon), Jan 25 at Long Tanyit (morning), Jan 26 at Punan Busang (morning) and Lusong Laku (afternoon) as well as Jan 27 at Long Kajang (morning) and Long Abit (afternoon).

The service will also go to Miri but will only be available in the morning on Jan 17 at Long Kerong, Jan 18 (Ba’Laman), Jan 19 (Ba’Itam), Jan 20 (Long Palai), Jan 21 (Long Tebangan), Jan 24 (Ba’Abang) and Jan 25 (Apau Nyaring).
