KUCHING: The stage is set for the upcoming presentation of the short film ‘Permata Warisan: Jiwa Yang Merdeka’.

This film is slated to premiere on Aug 31 at 7.30pm on TVS channel, Astro channel 122, and MYTV.

Viewers will be taken on a poignant journey through the life of a woman named Rossa, portrayed by the talented Eunice Vanessa Francis.

The narrative unfolds with a mix of emotions and concerns, as Rossa’s long-awaited plans for an overseas vacation are suddenly dashed when her husband, Harry (played by Tauriq Chayanne), makes a last-minute decision to change the family’s vacation destination to Rossa’s hometown of Mukah.

Accompanying them on this unexpected journey is Rossa’s mother, Rona, portrayed by the accomplished Maimon Abdullah.

Rona, the proud owner of a renowned homestay in her hometown, holds high hopes that Rossa and Harry will continue the family’s legacy by taking over the homestay business.

However, this hopeful ambition triggers conflicts for Rossa. The film showcases her determination as she presents challenging conditions, only to face rejection from Rona.
