MIRI: The Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) received 10 laptops from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB) recently.
PCSB-Sarawak Oil Division senior general manager Morris Mail said the donation was a form of support for the ongoing national Covid-19 immunisation programme.
“I wish to convey my appreciation to Miri DDMC for their tireless efforts in managing the pandemic here. I hope that these laptops will help ensure that the programme in Miri is carried out smoothly and efficiently.
“This contribution complements initiatives by Petronas’ corporate social responsibility arm Yayasan Petronas as well as Petronas Group in responding to the pandemic.”
Morris also reminded the public to continue to be vigilant and adhere strictly to all Covid-19 standard operating procedures.
A simple presentation ceremony was attended by Morris, Sarawak Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin, who is also the minister in charge of Miri DDMC, and acting Miri Resident and Miri DDMC chairman Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusuf.
