Petronesa donates RM50,000 to support pandemic relief

KUCHING: Petronesa has presented a donation of RM50,000 to the Association of Wives of State Ministers and Assistant Ministers (Sabati) for Covid-19 pandemic aid relief.

In accepting the donation, Sabati president Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, who is also the chief minister’s wife, expressed her sincere appreciation to Petronesa for their caring gesture.

The contribution will be used to help those in need during this pandemic.

The handover was carried out on Wednesday (Sept 15) at the Sabati Office here. Representing Petronesa in the handover was its chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.

Also present from Petronesa were its executive director Mersal Abang Rosli, director Mohamad Adzlie Ibrahim, and general manager Eileen Chieng.

Present from Sabati were its vice-president Datuk Dayang Morliah Awang Daud and other committee members.

Sabati, a charitable association, has been assisting the needy and less fortunate in the state since 1962. These include orphans, children with special needs, single mothers, person with disabilities, and senior citizens.

Sabati also provides donations to other charitable organisations in Sarawak in support of their activities and assistance to the less fortunate.
