MIRI: Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting yesterday conducted site inspections on two of his Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) in Lutong.

One of the projects involving the construction of Lutong basketball court at a cost of RM250,000 was completed recently, while the wooden plank walkway at Kampung Pasir, Lutong is still ongoing.

The construction work of the walkway at a cost of RM200,000 is expected to be completed next month.

“A total of four wooden plank walkways are being built in the area.

“There were some delays in the construction, as it was supposed to commence in May, … but the contractor managed to start it only in June and is slated for completion next month,” said Ting.

For the record, the present wooden plank walkways in Kampung Pasir had been used for over 30 years and are in dire need of new ones.

Ting also expressed his delight over the two projects.
