KUCHING: Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew who won the Piasau seat in the recently concluded 12th State Election had taken his oath of office at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN), 9.15am today.
He took the oath of office before DUN Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar.
Ting, who was a close contact to a COVID-19 positive case, was among the three state assemblyman who missed the swearing-in ceremony for assemblypersons on Monday (Feb 14) due to quarantine.
While the other two assemblymen that have yet to take their oath were Kuala Rajang assemblyman Datuk Len Talif Salleh and Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii. Both were under quarantine.
