KUCHING: Dangsanak Limbang-Kuching Welfare Association (PKDLK) will play a major role in assisting Limbang folks who are currently living here.

Assistant Minister for Welfare and Community Wellbeing, Dr. Abdul Rahman Ismail said that the association was set up to help its members, especially in terms of financial aid.

“Due to the distance between Kuching and Limbang, it is most relevant to establish this association.

“The aid is mostly provided to those who suffer from chronic diseases,” he said in his speech during the Annual General Meeting of PKDLK at Grand Dormani Hotel here yesterday.

Rahman, who is also the patron of the association, congratulated PKDLK’s committee members for having successfully registered the association and channeled RM50,000 for the association’s expenses.

Also present at the AGM were the Chairman of PKDLK, Mahmud Mohd Nor and Limbang Member of Parliament, Hasbie Habibollah.
