IPOH: PKNP FC have secured the service of Brazilian defender, Pedro Victor Calil Sandoval to replace Tajikistan national player, Siyovush Asrorov for the remaining matches of the 2019 Malaysia Football League.

PKNP FC president, Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin said the move to engage the player from Sao Paolo was to strengthen the team’s defence which have been quite shaky so far.

“We hope he will be our solution to bolster the defence and invigorate the squad in the coming matches especially the second FA Cup quarter-final game against Perak tomorrow night,” he told a media conference at Hotel Casuarina here yesterday.

He said Pedro is expected to be fielded in the encounter against The Bos Gaurus tomorrow, as all documents especially the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) has been acquired.

“He has also been training with the team for a week after we have sealed the contract with Pedro who  had passed the tests,” he said. –Bernama
