KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) is urging the public to stop sharing the ongoing viral sex video clips involving a federal minister.
Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the dissemination of the video is gutter politics at play, and so he rejected the tactic as it does not benefit society and country.
“The political style and method like this do not bring any benefit to the people and the country,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Saifuddin, who is also Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister, was among the first Cabinet member after Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to comment in response to the viral gay sex video.
He also said the party will continue its efforts to implement the reformation agenda and assist the federal government in forming policies and programmes that benefit the people.
Earlier on, Haziq Aziz, who is a staff member of Deputy Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, had admitted being the other person in the video which has gone viral on Facebook.
