KUCHING: Residents of Taman Supreme want the telecommunication tower to be moved out of their residential areas for health reasons.

According to one of the residents who only wanted to be known as Mr. Lim, the residents in Taman Supreme at Jalan Nyatoh have voiced out their concern about the telecommunication tower to the relevant authority for quite a while. So far, no action has been taken.

“What we want is for this telecommunication tower to be placed outside this residential area as we are concerned about our health,” Lim told a press conference after a visit by the media to the telecommunication tower owned by Sacofa at Taman Supreme yesterday.

He added there were many high cable towers along Jalan Pending to Simpang Tiga which could be used to provide the services.

The telecommunication tower was constructed on10 February this year to meet the growing demands of telecommunication and internet users in the area.
