MUKAH: Parti Sarawak Bersatu’s (PSB) plans to spread its wings to the Tellian constituency is progressing well.

If PSB sets foot here, it will serve as an alternative party beside the existing ones in Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), namely Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP), Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) and Progressive Democratic Party (PDP).

A source from PSB said the process to set up a branch in the Tellian constituency was progressing as planned.

However, the source said this would take time as PSB had to wait for approval from Registrar of Societies (ROS).

“Hopefully, the process can be settled by July this year,” the source told New Sarawak Tribune yesterday.

During the PSB Christmas gathering at Kampung Petanak Daya last Dec 28, the party had indicated its intention to spread its wings to the Tellian constituency.

To a question if election could be called soon, the source said “the party could operate through a pro-tem committee”.

The source revealed that a service centre would be opened first if there was no party branch yet.
