MUKAH: Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo is calling all Ketua Kaum and Ketua Masyarakat (KKKM) to play their role in preventing Covid-19 from spreading among villages and longhouses.
He said effective prevention was needed if Mukah wanted to return to the green status.
“The movement of people going in and out must be restricted in order to stop the spread of the virus and to ensure safety.”
“Don’t regret if the whole village or longhouse must be quarantined like what happened in the Pasai Cluster previously.
“At this time, self-monitoring of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enforcement are also critical.”
Meanwhile, he also thanked frontliners who had made sacrifices over the past year in the fight against the coronavirus.
The Information Department here had previously conducted patrols and announcements, as well as conveyed essential SOP information to visitors.
Mukah had 175 cases as of Monday, which is a very worrying number.
