BAU: ASP Jugah Aleng is the new police chief of Bau; he takes over from  DSP Poge Nyaon.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Datuk Mancha Ata witnessed the handover of duties at the Bau district police headquarters today.

Poge, who has been serving as the Bau district police chief since October 30, 2018, bids farewell after a career spanning 39 years.

“There were times when I felt immense joy, and there were moments when I faced unexpected challenges, which made me a person who values and embraces the uncertainties of the future in dealing with the storms of the policing world.

“Nevertheless, I will never forget to appreciate my time in the policing world until I’ve reached the realm of retirement.

“I humbly and sincerely wish to express my utmost appreciation and gratitude for the unwavering support, close collaboration and invaluable assistance extended to me during my tenure as KPD Bau,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mancha acknowledged the contributions of Poge in ensuring the safety and security of the district, while effectively managing the crime rate.

“I believe that the responsible attitude exhibited by Poge throughout his tenure as the Bau district police chief will serve as a guide for all of us, enabling us to carry out our duties efficiently and effectively in meeting the expectations of the local community,” he said.
