PUTRAJAYA: A political secretary of a minister is in remand for four days from today for allegedly accepting an Omega watch, worth RM28,000.

The remand order, which expires on April 5, was issued by Magistrate Ahmad Asyraf Mohammad Kamal following an application by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The 47-year-old suspect was arrested at about 5pm on Monday when he went to the MACC headquarters here to give his statement.

He was alleged to have received the watch as an inducement to help a company to obtain development projects from a ministry. – Bernama
