Police nab three druggies in fruit orchard


LUNDU: Police arrested three persons including a woman for involvement in drugs on Wednesday night.

Lundu police chief DSP Damataries Lautin said they were nabbed around 10.15pm at a fruit orchard in Kampung Tabuan Dayak, here by CID officers.

“Police seized a transparent plastic packet containing crystallised substances suspected to be Syabu type drugs.

“Further examination found one blue bag in which there were several red and silver blister packs containing 33 pills suspected to be Eramin 5 type drugs,” he said today (Jul 8).

He said all three suspects tested positive for methamphetamine.

The case is being investigated under Section 39(B) and Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, he added.
