BAU: An unemployed man was arrested for possessing drugs in Kampung Bobak here last Friday.
District police chief DSP Poge Nyaon said an NCID team spotted the 28-year-old man in a suspicious manner near a house in the village around 11.30am.
The team proceeded to inspect the man and found a bag with a plastic packet containing powdered drugs believed to be syabu and a tin containing three Eramin 5 pills.
The man was arrested and the drugs weighing around 1.85g, was seized as evidence.
Poge said the man tested positive for drugs. He is being remanded to facilitate investigations under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which carries a fine not exceeding RM100,000 and imprisonment not more than five years or both upon conviction.
