KUCHING: The Land Custody and Development Authority (LCDA) filed a police report against an online news portal over allegations concerning its senior management today (Oct 13).

LCDA’s chief executive officer Bibi Umizah Osman, vehemently refuted the unverified claims circulated on an online social platform on October 12. 

She emphasised that LCDA upheld the highest standards of corporate governance, rigorous financial procurement, and transparency in all its daily operations and business activities.

Addressing reporters outside the Satok police station, she reaffirmed LCDA’s readiness to take legal action against individuals who persisted in sharing and disseminating this baseless news. 

The report was submitted by LCDA’s Risk Management Unit manager, Yusuf Bujang.

The allegations against LCDA pertained to its alleged involvement in a scandal related to the construction of a road in Muara Tuang, here.
