SLANDEROUS POSTING
KUCHING: A political secretary to the chief minister yesterday lodged a police report against a Facebook account owner for alleged slander which could undermine the credibility and integrity of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
The slanderous posting claiming that the chief minister’s son received a RM5 billion oil mining project was posted on a Facebook account under the name of Mohd Firdaus.
Accordingly, a police report was lodged by Abdul Samat Gany to enable the police and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to take appropriate action against the owner of the Facebook account.
