MERADONG: Police are tracking down suspects who trespassed into the Selemas Cemetery, which went viral on Wednesday (Feb 15).
Meradong district police chief DSP Sekam Anoi said that a family member whose graveyard was desecrated made a police report on Thursday (Feb 16).
“On the same day, Insp Meredolyin from the Criminal Investigation Department together with the residents from the Selemas area visited the cemetery.
“Later after that, they confirmed that there had been a break-in,” he said.
Anoi also advised the community not to make any speculations following the incident.
He urged those with information on the case to contact the Meradong police station at 084-693222.
