KUALA LUMPUR: The initiatives by Tabung Haji to provide online deposit services through Pos Online website at www.posonline.com.my will make it easier for its customers to manage their accounts with the agency.
Due to her busy schedule as a Form Six teacher, a customer Juliana Noor Abu Bakar, 40, said the Pos Online system made it easier for her to manage her Tabung Haji account.
“This system is easy to use, and does not require filling in too much information like most other applications.
“For improvements, Pos Online could create a points collection system to encourage the use of the website, and a redemption system using the accumulated points,” she told Bernama.
Nur Amirah, 25, does not have a problem to log in to the Pos Online system because she is used to applications and technology.
Nur Amirah is happy with the options provided because she does not have to go to any counter or queue.
“My busy work schedule compels me to carry out Tabung Haji savings deposit service online,” she said.
However, this service is still difficult to access by senior citizens, especially those who are not familiar with technology as experienced by two settlers Mohd Muhajir Hashim, 80, and Che Hasnah Md Thaib, 53.
Both of them have problems accessing the system because the language settings used are English, not to mention the small font size.
“My eyesight is not that good due to my age so the words are difficult to read which is why I am more inclined to go to the counter as the employees there can fill it in for me,” said Mohd Muhajir.
Che Hasnah also said that to use this online service, she needs the help of her children who live far away.
Last Thursday, Bernama reported that Lembaga Tabung Haji will upgrade its savings deposit service to Tabung Haji account starting Jan 2021 and any transaction through the Pos Malaysia counter will be terminated. – Bernama
