SEBUYAU: Two buildings in Sebuyau have been identified as the potential venue for the Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) in Sebuyau. One is the former office of Simunjan Division Council while the other is a rest house.

Both buildings are owned by the Simunjan Division Council. This was revealed by the Assistant Minister for Rural Economy (Coastal Areas) & Fisheries, Datuk Julaihi Narawi during a press conference held at Sebuyau Sub District Office yesterday.

“We have proposed to have a RTC for Sebuyau and hope that it can be included in the earlier phase of the 11th Malaysian Plan.

“Having a RTC will enable people from sur rounding areas, even those from Beting Maro and Meludam, to come over to Sebuyau via the Triso Ferry,” Julaihi said that the Sebuyau RTC should house all the departments. presently available in all current RTCs.

Prior to the press conference, the Assistant Minister graced a “Gotong Royong” (mutual assist) event at SK Tuanku Abang organised by the Ministry of Finance. 80 staff of the ministry were involved in the event.
