PANTU: The ‘Sacha Inchi’ herb crop has a great potential to increase the household income by 2026, said Deputy Health Minister II Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang.

According to the statement by UKAS, he stated that the plant can produce various products such as Black Sacha oil which contains Omega 6, an item good for health.

“(With the benefit from the plant), I have collaborated with Inca Essential company to produce various other products including cosmetics,” he said.

The Kanowit MP said this when leading the RASCOM Development Areas Advisory Council (RASDA) delegation during its Lawatan Sambil Belajar to Ladang Sacha Inchi at Pantu, Sri Aman on Saturday (July 2).

Explaining on the study visit, he disclosed that it is to expose the residents of the RASCOM area to cultivate Sacha Inchi as a crop.

“The crop itself is capable of increasing household income by up to RM6,000 per month which is in line with what has been inspired by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg in the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030,” Aaron said.
