Police together with SEB personnel carrying out the power supply cut onto premises in the district.

PADAWAN: Ten more premises in the district had their power supply cut off last Thursday after they were found to be carrying out illegal gambling activities.

District police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan explained that the police would continue conducting operations to eliminate illegal gambling activities.

He pointed out that the errant premises in Siburan, Beratok and Batu Kawa, had their power supply cut under Section 21A (1) of the Common Gaming House Act 1953.

A team of personnel from Padawan Crime Investigation Division (CID) and Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) carried out the power cut off operation.

The police chief urged the public to channel any information related to illegal gambling activities, drug abuse or any other information on law violation.

“They can do so by giving information to the Padawan district police headquarters (IPD) operation room at 082-862233,” Aidil said.
