PADAWAN: The upgrading of the Padawan Road received positive feedback from dwellers here set to benefit from the project as part of the state government’s initiative.

The project, which started at the fourth quarter of last year, would improve the safety of commuters and serve as the main road for many people in and around the area.

Many of the residents are confident that the development would bring about socio-economic benefits.

Others expressed gladness in seeing that the government is taking the initiative to put the people’s needs first and providing upgrades in terms of infrastructural development.

It is expected that among those who will benefit from the development are those in the agricultural sector as the area is home to many farmlands belonging to the farmers nearby.

As for the locals, they would surely appreciate the new road because it would ease their commute in an out of the area, especially for those who are working in the city centre.

The current road is quite dangerous and many accidents occurred in the area. However, with many parts of the road being straightened, this would surely solve this problem. The project would also ease the commute of the people here and simultaneously ease the process of conducting small business in areas outside of their villages.

A lot of the dwellers in our village are tied to agricultural businesses and the road would ease the process of transporting their local products to other areas. Accidents also occur frequently there and I’m sure that the new road would solve this issue as well. We hope that the construction can be expedited and the people here would be able to enjoy the much welcomed development by the state government.

It will surely cut the time to commute in and out of the village especially for those who are working in the city. And it would bring about great safety features as well and reduce the amount of accidents occurring in throughout the road.

Currently we have to be very careful when driving on that road. Once it is done, we can easily commute to the city whenever we want to. The farmers and those who are in the agricultural industry would also be able to transport their produce to be sold in addition to having easier access to their farms. This is a commendable effort by the state government and we the people here welcome it with open arms.”
