KUCHING: The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) yesterday appealed to the people to pray that the political crisis plaguing the country would end soon and that the country would be free from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said in a situation where the country was facing the Covid-19 pandemic crisis and working hard to revive the economy, political stability was essential.

“We need to focus on the success of the National Recovery Plan for the well-being and health of the people as well as economic recovery,” the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister said in a statement.

Nanta, who is also Kapit MP, said the GPS-led government fully supported the Constitutional Monarchy system.

“Let us all pray that the political crisis that is plaguing the country will end soon and the country will be free from the pandemic,” he added.
