SIBU: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is a visionary leader who is very committed to his mission to develop the state thus Sarawakians are lucky to have such a leader says, Safiee Ahmad.
The Daro assemblyman said that Abang Johari through his wisdom is persistent in developing Sarawak rapidly, especially the improvement of basic facilities such as electricity supply, clean water supply, roads, and also educational facilities were implemented.
“Our Premier is very committed in his effort to reduce the poverty gap between rural and urban areas. This is evidenced by Sarawak’s high annual budget allocation of which 60 per cent is allocated for rural development,” he said.
Safiee said this when expressing his heartiest congratulation to Abang Johari on his sixth year of leading Sarawak as its Premier today.
“He is a far-sighted leader of Sarawak who always puts Sarawak’s interests and progress first. This is proven by his realisation of 125 commitments announced by placing the pillar of ‘Guaranteeing a Stable, Prosperous Sarawak’,” he said.
He also noted that under the leadership of Abang Johari, the state has generated increased annual income and has surplus income hence further initiatives such as Sovereign Wealth Fund will create more job opportunities, a stable economy, and even free education.
“Abang Johari’s ideas through green hydrogen in his effort to tackle climate change by taking appropriate action to curb it and create a better alternative was also well received by countries such as Japan as well as South Korea and has put Sarawak in the eyes of the world,” he said.
Above all, Safiee pointed out that Abang Johari has never neglected Sarawakian welfare as various initiatives have been implemented to help the people, especially those B40 and M40 groups such as Sarawakku Sayang Special Aid (BKSS) and more.
“Alhamdulillah, this noble endeavour can be achieved because of the cooperation and support given by the people and their trust in the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government under the leadership of Abang Johari.
“I represent the people especially the people in Daro constituency in congratulating Abang Johari on his sixth year in the office as the Sarawak Premier.
“Thank you very much for the efforts given for the prosperity, well-being, and progress of the people. We feel very proud to have a far-sighted and future-sighted leader,” he said.
