Premier begins Raya visits to local dignitaries

SIBU: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg begins his Hari Raya Aidilfitri visitations here today (April 13), by meeting prominent local figures.

Accompanied by his wife, Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, Abang Johari’s first stop was at the residence of the Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, located on Jalan Kangkong.

Joining the Premier’s entourage were the Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts, Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and his wife Datin Seri Zuraini Abdul Jabbar, Chief Political Secretary to the Premier, Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, Political Secretary to the Premier, Sayed Azmee Wan Junaidi and Pemanca Datuk Jason Tai.

Following this, the group visited the former Igan MP and Permodalan ASSAR Sdn Bhd chairman, Datuk Seri Wahab Dolah, at his home in Lorong 4 Kampung Nangka. They were greeted upon arrival at 12.36 pm by Igan MP Ahmad Johnie Zawawi and Daro assemblyman Safiee Ahmad.

The Premier’s schedule included a visit to the residence of Temenggong Datuk Wan Hamid Edruce Tuanku Mohamad at Jalan Jasmin around 1.58 pm.

Later this evening, Abang Johari and his wife will join the Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, and his wife, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, at the Majlis Ramah Tamah Hari Raya Aidilfitri Bahagian Sibu at Dewan Canselor Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud, University of Technology Sarawak (UTS).

The Premier is scheduled to continue his Hari Raya visits in Miri tomorrow (April 14).
