KUCHING: Koperasi Guru Bumiputera Sarawak Berhad or Kobagus paid a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here yesterday.

The delegation was led by chairman Mohamad Mortadza Manirang.

According to Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Mortadza said the purpose of the visit was to inform Abang Johari of the teacher housing project to be implemented by Kobagus.

“We are now waiting for the premium from the Land and Survey Department for the project to commence,” he said.

Mortadza added that so far, more than 100 applications had been received from the cooperative’s members.

“If this housing project is successfully implemented, we will expand the development fund and other activities such as the saltwater shrimp processing factory in Bako.”
