Premier leads Merdeka convoy from Serian to Samarahan

KUCHING: The Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has led the Sarawak Merdeka 60th Anniversary Convoy from Serian to Samarahan today (July 15).
 
The 400-person entourage, which consisted of motorcycles, four-wheel-drive vehicles, state government cars, and buses, left the Serian Conference Centre (SCC) at around 1pm.
 
The convoy was flagged off by the Minister of Education, Innovation, and Talent Development Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn.
 
Also joining in the trip was Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah.
 
The entourage will stop in Siburan before continuing their journey to Summer Mall in Kota Samarahan.
 
Earlier in the morning, Abang Johari officiated at the Serian Masterplan 2030 before launching the Serian Division Sarawak Merdeka 60th Anniversary Convoy later in the afternoon.
