SIBU: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg is expected to officiate at the opening of the Selangau Riverfront and three-storey Selangau District Office building next Monday on Dec 18.

“A committee has been established and a meeting was chaired by Sibu Resident Datuk Wong Hee Sieng to discuss the preparations for the upcoming opening ceremony of the two Projek Rakyat (People’s Project).

“In addition, approximately 1,000 people are expected to attend the opening ceremony at 10 am on that day,” he said in a Facebook post.

Among those present at the meeting were Selangau MP Edwin Banta, Selangau District Officer Inting Nyami, Sibu Deputy Resident Christopher Ranggau Unting, and State Protocol and Public Relations Unit (UPPAN) director Hamdan Sharbini.
