KUCHING: A private company here donated personal protective equipment (PPE) and face masks to medical frontliners of Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).

KPJ Healthcare Berhad, which controls KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital, was represented by KPJ Kuching general manager Nurhazimah Mahat to present the aid to SGH deputy director Dr Hayati Ja’afar at the hospital compound.

“This donation is another effort by KPJ to help public hospitals in combating the Covid-19 pandemic.

“This is a continuous effort by KPJ to ensure the frontliners are well equipped and ready to face this situation” said Nurhazimah in a statement on Wednesday (June 24).

She added that KPJ is always open to collaborate with public hospitals, especially in terms of health awareness among the community.

Also present were SGH corporate unit head Mary Belare and KPJ Kuching operational manager Thomas Ho.
