Programme aims to strengthen Unimas cooperation

KUCHING: Some 85 participants, including directors, deans, heads of responsibility centres, association presidents and representatives of the Student Representative Council (MPP) of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas), are in Bintulu since Tuesday (Jan 18) for the Program Sumbangsaran Majlis Dekan 2022.

According to a statement from Unimas on Wednesday (Jan 19), the four-day programme was a strategic platform to discuss the framework for the direction of Unimas and at the same time, an important medium to strengthen cooperation between the management and administration of the university.

The programme’s activities are filled with presentations, partnerships and discussions for topics related to Unimas strategic plan, which will be the essence of the university’s planning and strategic measures in facing the challenges of existing and future higher education.

Unimas vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi in his speech at the event emphasised on the continuous cooperation among Unimas citizens.

At the same time, he also highlighted on orderly and high-impact planning in addressing the changes and challenges of global higher education and the university’s aspirations in the direction and operation of the university in the post-pandemic era.
