Project sites due for completion by June

MIRI: Two river protection projects to control erosions are currently being carried out in Kampung Pejuang Kelulit Bekenu and Kampung Dagang Sepupok in Niah.

The works are expected for completion by June this year.

“We hope that the contractors will do their best to complete these projects on time,” said Bekenu assemblywoman Datuk Rosey Yunus yesterday.

Earlier, Rosey together with officers from the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS) had gone to the project sites.

“I will monitor these projects from to time to time to make sure that they are running smoothly,” she added.

For river protection project in Kampung Pejuang Kelulit (Bekenu) it is costing RM496, 753 while it costs RM497, 253 for the one in Kampung Dagang Sepupok.
