KUCHING: Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects and construction works in Repok constituency are ongoing.
Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, on Saturday (Apr 10), visited eight project sites to monitor their progress.
The projects include the upgrading of facilities at Surau Permai Sarikei, Sarikei Orthodox Buddhist Association, SIB Church (Nyelong), SIB Mandarin, Nyelong Park Methodist Church, Kuan Yin Temple, Iban Methodist Church and Unity Methodist Church.
“All schools, surau, temples and churches have received their funds (from the state government).
“I am very grateful to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg because he is a credible leader. We need his leadership to enjoy political and economic stability,” Huang said during his visit.
For the record, the state government has allocated RM300,000 in 2021 and RM700,000 in 2019 to Surau Permai Sarikei for the upgrading of its facilities.
Sarikei Orthodox Buddhist Association received RM100,000 (2021) and RM196,100 (2019), while SIB Church (Nyelong) was given RM700,000 (2021), RM100,000 (2020) and RM200,000 (2017) to upgrade their facilities.
A total of RM200,000 was allocated for SIB Mandarin in 2021, while RM70,000 (2021), RM300,000 (2020) and RM200,000 (2018) were presented to Nyelong Park Methodist Church.
Kuan Yin Temple received RM15,000 (2021) and RM10,000 (2019), while Iban Methodist Church has obtained RM50,000 (2021) and RM100,000 (2019).
A total of RM50,000 (2021) and RM100,000 (2019) were also provided for Unity Methodist Church for the upgrading of its facilities.
