SERIAN: Projects here under the Public Works Department’s (JKR) supervision are all on schedule except for two, says Aidel Lariwoo.

According to the Assistant Infrastructure and Port Development (Infrastructure Development) Minister,
one of the projects was SK Lebor Remun.

“This is a rehabilitation project that started in 2020 and scheduled for completion in March this year.

“However, due to several constraints, including the movement control order and contractor performance, the project is expected to be completed in April,” he said during a visit to Serian JKR today.

The Padawan link project, which commenced in 2019, is another sick project.

Aidel said the land for the project had been acquired some 10 years ago.

“Due to some problems—the relocating of utilities and illegal structures being built on the land—the project had stalled.

“JKR will fully monitor the progress so that it can run according to schedule.

“The project, which is supposed to be completed in November, also experienced the problem of underperforming contractor.”
