Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is not only a political party; it is an institution that protects Sarawak’s rights, said the Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) president, Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing.

“If they want to join the party, they should come in and send a letter to us, but then they have never sent any application letter to join us,” he told reporters.

Masing who is Deputy Chief Minister was referring to the debate whereby Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyabong Ijang pointed out that Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) has no place in an honourable institution like GPS.

“Let the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, decide on what next step should be taken as he is the right person to deal with such matter in protecting GPS,” he added.

Masing also stressed that the chief minister might take a slow decision about it but people should trust him, as he will make the right and wise decision.
