Public health talk draws 280 people

MIRI: Two hundred and eighty people attended a public health talk held by Pustaka Miri recently.

The topic is “Healthy Heart” which was delivered by Dr. Teh Yeon Chiat, a physician from Miri Hospital’s Medical Department.

The talk aimed to educate the public on how to take care of the heart especially when the number of deaths caused by coronary heart diseases is soaring in the country.

Dr. Teh said a good way to take care of the human heart is to live a healthy lifestyle.

“Individuals should exercise at least three times a week with a minimum of an hour for each session,  eat a balanced diet and go to bed early,” she added.
