KUCHING: Sarawakians are asked to limit their movements to prevent further transmission of Covid-19 amid the spike in the number of infection cases statewide.
Muara Tuang assemblyman Datuk Idris Buang said for Kota Samarahan, a few cases recorded recently have been contained.
“So those who are constantly on the move should limit their movements from red zones to yellow zones and green zones; slow down. If possible, do not take part in mass gatherings,” he said in a Facebook Live session today.
Idris said those who are from high risk areas or exposed to outbreaks must remain at home and limit their interactions with others or go to public places.
“I thank the frontliners from the Health Ministry who habe been putting their lives on the line so that the rest of us are safe,” he said.
On the flood situation, the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) information chief noted that three localities were affected in Kota Samarahan.
“There are also those in Muara Tuang constituency and they (the flood victims) are in temporary relief centres (PPS) as the flood has not really receded.
“We had distributed aid to the victims which should be good for three days, but if the situation persists, we will provide them with additional help,” he said.
Idris said the state government has been instrumental in alleviating the burden of the flood victims.
