KUCHING: The Puncak Borneo must remain as a Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) parliamentary seat in the coming 15th general election.

PBB vice-president Datuk Seri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah reiterated that the Puncak Borneo parliamentary seat has always been a PBB seat.

“Furthermore, three of the state seats within the constituency are all represented by PBB and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) lawmakers.

“Thus, whoever is to contest for the seat must come from PBB or GPS,” he said in support of Datuk Dr Jerip Susil’s comment on the contest for the seat in the GE15.

On GPS’s preparation for the GE15, Abdul Karim who is also Asajaya assemblyman said GPS is ever ready.

“GPS just went through the state election and the result has shown overwhelming support from the people,” he added.

When asked if GPS candidate should be fielded in the constituency in the GE 15 Dr Jerip, who is Mambong assemblyman, recently said there will be no compromise on the seat.
