Pupils get RM25,000 incentive

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg awarded incentives amounting to RM25,000 to Macgres Sawet and Nabiatul Dania Zulfiqa – Year Five pupils of Sekolah Kebangsaan Temong, Serian today.

The incentive was given to the duo as token of appreciation of their success in winning the ‘Best Film by Popular Jury’ award at the Escola de Alvorada (Fecea) Cinema Festival or the Alvorada International Schools Film Festival recently.

Macgres and Nabiatul who were clad in their school uniforms, received the incentive from the chief minister during their courtesy visit at his office.

The duo was accompanied by SK Temong Serian principal Cleveland Raden.

The 11-year-old students emerged as champion through their short-animated film ‘Batuh Bijanji’ in the primary school category.
